Current Activities and 2010 75th Anniversary

2010 marks the 75th anniversary of many New Deal programs that were created in 1935, two years after the beginning of Roosevelt’s New Deal. These significant programs, most with us today or their legacies include the Works Progress Administration (WPA), Rural Electrification Administration (REA), Social Security Administration (SSA), National Labor Relations Act, Resettlement Administration/Farm Security Administration (FSA), and National Youth Administration (NYA). Our organization is sponsoring and encouraging commemorative events nationwide with the hope that we can all learn more about how those programs provide important lessons in forming public policy today.
