August/September: Remembering FDR: Digital Images of the Joseph M. Jacobs Memorabilia Collection at the Center for New Deal Studies. Showcases newly digitized photographs of this collection of over 3500 objects related to FDR the New Deal, Great Depression, and World War Two.

November 17:
William Leuchtenburg, Roosevelt Scholar and William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor Emeritus of History, University of North Carolina will give the 16th Franklin & Eleanor Roosevelt Distinguished Lecture. This event will also celebrate Roosevelt University Dedication Day. Co-sponsored with the Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt Institute in Hyde Park, NY.

Type of event: Public lectures that address Illinois politics during the 1930s, the response to the economic crisis in Springfield, the Illinois Arts Project. Keynote speakers include Dr. Margaret Rung, Roosevelt University's Center for New Deal Studies, and U.S. Senate Historian, Donald Ritchie

October/November—
Plans are underway for the Center for New Deal Studies to sponsor a bus tour of WPA murals and a lecture/panel on the built environment of Chicago during the Chicago Humanities Festival. The 2008 theme for the Festival is “Grand Visions.”

Midwest NNDPA Chapter
—A series of 25 minute in-studio interviews with people involved in ND projects including CCC will be available at the Evanston Community Media Center on DV tape with distribution on DVD’s.  Copies of scholarly ND presentations at a 2003 NNDPA national conference will also be for sale.

Roosevelt University—Center for New Deal Studies will host a FSA photography exhibit from Gage Gallery at Roosevelt Univ. and their annual fall speaker event will focus on the 75th celebration.  It is also hope that they will be able to work with the Chicago Humanities Festival to highlight the New Deal celebration theme with those events in November and the Chicago Metro History Fair.

Nat. Archives Film Fest—this is currently being scheduled.

Southside Federal Art Center—New Deal Federal Art Center--Exhibit hopefully in conjunction with Art Institute

Bronzeville –considering some activities to compliment Southside Art Center.
