Minneapolis: The Weisman Art Museum at the
Univ. of Minnesota had an exhibition between May 9—July 27, 2008 that
featured their New Deal collection and history. It was called By the People,

Past Events 2008
CCC Camps E-93, PE-93 and SCS-12— are being featured in Rochester, Minnesota by a group of residents who are hoping to persuade local officials to preserve the remaining camp grounds and structures and nominate them as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places. Type of event: Volunteers with our Passport In Time project will help
commemorate the 75th anniversary of the CCCs by re-glazing the original
windows in a 1930s log guard cabin. Built as a Forest Service administrative
structure to patrol the Sawbill area and staff a fire lookout, the guard
cabin remains in use today to house seasonal wilderness crews. An
interpretive display will be available at the guard cabin during the
project. The public is welcome to visit.
