Type of event: The 2009 Friends of the Library event, A Taste of
Soup, will be held at the Carrollton Community House, a log structure build
through the WPA program in 1935-36. This structure is the only one of 5
built in the county at that time. Repaired in 2001, this historic structure
is the site of many community activities, just as it was intended to be.
Tickets for A Taste of Soup entitles you to taste 10 soups, prepared by the
Friends of the Carrollton-North Carrollton Library, as well as viewing
artwork of local artists. The 2009 theme is Celebrating Our Past in keeping
with the 175th birthday of Carroll County.
