Governor John Lynch of New Hampshire signed the 75th New Deal Commemoration Commendation on March 28, 2008 and was given a ten page packet about the accomplishments of the CCC in New Hampshire entitled “Life in the Civilian Conservation Corps, 1933-42” and a reprint of the corps original handbook—“Your CCC, A Handbook for Enrollees.” The group also presented him with one of the 75th commemorative CCC/NNDPA coins.
NEW JERSEY
Plainfield, New Jersey---the Historical Society of Plainfield held their 75th New Deal celebration on March 2 from 2-4 at the Drake House Museum. The Henry H. Banta Chapter of the National Honor Society students from the local high school read FDR’s March 4, 1933 Inaugural Address.
