1.  Seattle: CCC Chapter #5—reached out to the art students of Mariner High School to participate in the 75th anniversary activities. They enlisted the youth to design CCC 75th anniversary logos and 25 creations were submitted. The winner was Damascus Purnell, an 11th grader and is being used for their activities and on the new commemorative coin created by the NNDPA and the new CCC Legacy group.

2.  Seattle—Damascus Purnell, age 17, participated in and was chosen the winner of a 75th Logo Project Design contest at Mariner High School in Seattle.
 CCC Chapter #5 and its president, Bernice Phillips, are strong advocates for educating youth to the value of the CCC heritage. Therefore they reached out to the art department at Mariner High School last year and enlisted the design of a CCC 75th anniversary logo and 25 creations were submitted. The winning logo was designed by Damascus Purness, a 17.year old eleventh grader. The design will be used on all their 75th activities including the new 75th Commemorative Coin created in partnership with the National New Deal Preservation Association.
