The Original Beer Tasting Bash was held on August 9, 2008 in Greendale, WIS---one of those New Deal “Green Towns.” The community’s Historical Society threw this “BASH” to celebrate the town’s 70th anniversary and the New Deal’s 75th anniversary. Their theme for this event was Why the New Deal & Greendale Matter” with special guest speaker, Prof. Chistopher Miller, providing the information and answers. It was held at Ray and Dot’s Tap where folks could sample the area’s finest microbrews. The poster that was sprinkled all over town included a reproduction of FDR pn a postage stamp with a cold beer shining on one corner of the stamp. Word has it, the event was a howling success.
